COLORADO 2004 - 2006 3.5L - Volant Cold Air Intake

Cold Air Intake Kit: The new Colorado packs a powerful punch but a less restrictive intake from Volant gives it even better throttle response and more highway mileage. The polyethylene design gives your engine the coolest air possible since it doesn't conduct heat like those aluminum aftermarket intakes. A Volant kit will increase the air charge and in effect increase the horsepower. Also sustaining a cooler air charge from the outside air increases the density of the air which gives the engine more oxygen in more dense air - and more oxygen means a more efficient burn, longer engine life, and better gas mileage. The 3.5 liter Colorado/Canyon was a tricky CAI to produce. Volant designed a new air duct that includes pockets of air that will allow quick off the line response and consistent gains without any lag throughout the engine's rpm range. The new air box pulls air from multiple locations other than just one in order to continually pick up fresh, cold air. Volant's dyno testing has shown this system to provide additional horsepower gains of 9 horsepower.
